SCCI president pays tribute to laborers

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2026) President Sargodha Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Khawaja Yasir Qayyum, in his special message on the occasion of Labor Day, said that the working class is the foundation of the development, prosperity and economic stability of any nation. May 1 is celebrated all over the world to pay tribute to the services of these great workers, renew the commitment to protect their rights and remember their sacrifices.

He said that the role of the working class in the industrial, commercial and agricultural development of Pakistan is very important and commendable.

Behind the success of our factories, farms, construction projects and business enterprises is the tireless struggle of the workers. This class is the real architect of the country's economy.

Khawaja Yasir Qayyum expressed his determination that the Sargodha Chamber of Commerce and Industry will continue to play every possible role for the promotion of workers' rights, better working environment, fair wages, social security and vocational training.

He said that the dream of sustainable economic development cannot be realized without empowering the workers.

He urged the industrialists and business community to ensure the welfare, safety and self-respect of the workers in their institutions, as a happy worker is the guarantee of a strong industry and a stable economy.

Finally, the President of the Chamber paid tribute to all the workers and said that today reminds us of the pledge that we will work unitedly for the protection of the rights of our working brothers and sisters, their welfare and their bright future.
